The Lessig Method: How To Do PowerPoint Right

I am a fan of Lawrence Lessig for all sorts of important projects, such as Creative Commons and Change Congress. But one tactical/stylistic thing he's broadly admired for is his presentation style.

Consider this recent presentation at TED:

Larry Lessig: How creativity is being strangled by the law

Pretty awesome! Very fast. Its like having the story and information drilled into your head.

Others have picked up on his style, and adopted as their own. Consider this from Dick Hardt, at SxIP:

Dick Hardt: Identity 2.0 Keynote

Doing this style of presentation seems obviously more work to do ahead of time. But, if you are practiced, which you pretty much have to be, then the actual delivery looks easier.

More importantly, the results are obvious… if you were like me, both of these presentations kept your attention and lead to high retention.
